چکیده
Whenever size, power or other constraints precluded the use of multiple transmit antennas, wireless systems cannot benefit from the well-known advantages of space time coding methods. Cooperation between wireless users has been proposed as a means to provide transmit diversity in the face of this limitation. This paper firstly analyse an ad-hoc network with a sender, a destination and a third station acting as relay is analyzed. Secondly in this paper Cooperative communication is performed with various well-known codes like convolution code and Turbo code. Using convolution code with cooperative communication provides full diversity and excellent coding gain. Turbo code offer better performance than Convolutional coding, Punctured Convolutional coding, Alamouti Scheme. [3] The turbo like decoding algorithm generally does not converge to a maximum-likelihood solution, although it is able to it is able to provide a good performance in practice. In this paer mostly extrinsic information transfer charts is used as tool to analyze the convergence behavior. We first design a PCCC-ID scheme for the sake of achieving decoding convergence at low SNR, using EXIT charts. Then invoke this PCC-ID scheme for cooperative communication, where the source employ PCCC-ID encoder and the relay encoding, interleaving and re-encoding which is then combined at destination using MRC. Exit Chart Analysis Applied to Adaptive Turbo Equalization
In this paper we consider iterative channel estimation, equalization, and decoding, or adaptive Turbo equalization, as a receiver technology for digital communication systems where the channel imposes time-varying intersymbol interference. We show how a semianalytical technique called EXIT charts, originally developed by S. ten Brink for analysis of Turbo codes, can be used to predict the perfo...
متن کاملThe Turbo Principle in Joint Source Channel Decoding of Variable Length Codes
The ’turbo’ principle has been widely applied to various detection/decoding problems in recent years. Here we show how the general idea can be extended to a communication scheme where a variable length code is used for data compression followed by a channel code to protect the data against channel errors. Iterations are performed between the channel decoder and the decoder for the variable leng...
متن کاملEXIT Chart Aided Design of Periodically Punctured Turbo Codes
EXtrinsic Information Transfer (EXIT) charts have proved to be an effective tool for studying the convergence behaviour of iterative decoders. However, classical EXIT chart analysis fails to assess the performance of turbo codes in which the systematic bits are punctured periodically. In this letter, a novel 3-Dimensional (3D) EXIT chart technique is proposed for accurately modeling the converg...
متن کاملAsymmetric Turbo Codes for Bit-Interleaved Coded Modulation∗
Bit interleaved coded modulation employing asymmetric turbo codes is investigated. An asymmetric turbo code uses two different constituent codes. The benefit of using different constituent codes is that they may complement each other during iterative decoding of the asymmetric turbo code. This can be visualized using the input-output extrinsic information transfer (EXIT) chart based on mutual i...
متن کاملOn Rate-Compatible Insertion Convolutional Turbo Codes and HARQ for Mobile Communications
Rate-compatible Turbo codes are part of many mobile communication systems as, e.g., LTE. The code rate of a fixed-rate mother Turbo code is adapted by bit puncturing and bit repetition. While bit puncturing allows to flexibly increase the effective code rate by discarding a certain number of encoded bits, bit repetition facilitates lower effective code rates by duplicating a distinct number of ...
